Meet Reclaim Our Vote founder Andrea Miller

Saturday, September 28, 2019
3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Reclaim Our Vote – Silicon Valley is delighted to announce that Andrea Miller will travel from Virginia to join us at a party, fundraiser and movie premiere, on Saturday, September 28th, 3 to 6 PM! We hope you can join us at the United Church of Christ, 400 W. Campbell Ave in Campbell, for food, drink and a chance to learn about the exciting voter engagement work we’re carrying out in Virginia, North Carolina, Arizona and other voter-suppression states.

See the flyer for details

Andrea is the founder and spiritual/moral/intellectual powerhouse behind the Reclaim Our Vote Campaign (a project of the Center for Common Ground, a nonpartisan 501(c)3 organization based in Virginia).  At our party and fundraiser, Andrea will offer an overview of the voter-suppression landscape in the United States in 2019, and talk about our campaign’s plans for the next year and two months to contact millions of voters of color.  We’ll also screen a new 35-minute film that will have its world premiere just days before in Atlanta, “Suppressed: the Fight to Vote” (, about voter suppression in Georgia in 2018.

We think you’ll come away from this event inspired, re-energized, and determined to make a difference for underrepresented voters in 2019 and 2020.  We also think you’ll enjoy meeting Andrea and many of the local volunteers who are already phonebanking, writing postcards and (soon) texting for Reclaim Our Vote.

Thanks so much for reading this.  Hope to see you at our party/fundraiser on the 28th!

P.S.  We need more volunteers to join our phone bank contacting voters of color in North Carolina’s 3rd Congressional District- you can make calls from your home, with your laptop and cell phone, or phone bank for ROV at Loreto Dimaandal’s “Loreto’s Brigade” phone bank this Sunday, 1-5 PM at SC County Democratic Party Headquarters, 2901 Moorpark Ave #110, San Jose (bring your own laptop and cell phone).  We’ve already made 22,000 calls but have thousands more to make before the day of the election, September 10th.  With this little-known election and with both candidates poorly funded, anything can happen, and our efforts WILL make a difference.  If you’d like to call from home and can make at least 100 calls, contact us at, tell us how many calls you’d like to make, and we’ll send you a link to the phone bank and simple instructions to get started.  Thanks very much.

P.P.S.  If you can’t take part in any of this, but would still like to donate, you can do so here.  Thank you.
