SUMMARY:Postcard pickup or writing party
DESCRIPTION:Writing letters and postcards provides a personal touch to voter outreach\, and it’s a fun group activity. We write to encourage people to enroll in vote-by-mail programs. We ask people to check their registration status in states where there have been purges of people from the rolls. Importantly\, we also write to get out the vote for vulnerable Democrats. \n\n\n\nThe Democratic Volunteer Center gives you three ways to participate in writing postcards and letters! \n\n\n\n\nCome into the DVC headquarters any Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon Pacific time and write postcards in the office. Everything is provided except stamps\, including help getting started.\n\n\n\nCome into the DVC headquarters at the same time and pick up a packet of postcards to take home.\n\n\n\nJoin Sue and Melissa’s virtual parties with other postcard and letter writers\, also every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon Pacific time. DESCRIPTION:The Democratic Volunteer Center is making calls in person at our office! Join us to call voters to elect Mary Peltola\, candidate for the US Senate in Alaska. Her campaign focuses on lowering the cost of living\, making life better for Alaskans\, and getting special interests out of politics. We’ll also start making calls for Jon Ossoff\, Sherrod Brown\, Troy Jackson and other US Senate candidates in swing states. \n\n\n\nThese are difficult races\, but we believe they are winnable with your help. Control of the Senate after the 2026 midterms would give Democrats the power to confirm judges and Supreme Court justices. We would have control over confirmation hearings\, and our Senate Majority Leader will decide which bills come to the floor for a vote. \n\n\n\nSign up and come to our 2026 Mountain View office\, next door to our former 2024 office! We supply all the equipment you’ll need. Don’t worry if you’ve never phone banked before — we’ll have friendly trainers who will lead and support you and teach you why we need to elect Mary Peltola. Tech support will also be available if you’re a struggling techno caller.
