DESCRIPTION:This phone bank will take place five days per week\, with three shifts per day: \n\n\n\n\nTuesdays\, Wednesday\, and Thursday\, with shifts 2:30-4pm\, 4:15-5:45pm\, and 6-7:30pm\n\n\n\nSaturdays and Sundays\, with shifts 10:30am-noon\, 12:15-1:45pm\, and 2-3:30pm\n\n\n\n\nThe House has passed $800 Billion in cuts to Medicaid – stripping away healthcare benefits for 13.7 million Americans\, just so they can give more tax breaks to their wealthy and well-connected donors and supporters. Even people who have private insurance will feel the impact of these devastating cuts – as hospitals and nursing homes close\, emergency rooms become more crowded\, and the price of health care goes up. \n\n\n\nNow the fight moves to the Senate. You will call voters in Republican Senate districts – Hawley in Missouri\, Tillis in North Carolina and Sullivan in Alaska\, asking voters to call their Senator to say NO to Medicaid Cuts! \n\n\n\nYou’ll use a dialer system to make the calls so you will need to use a computer or laptop and have internet access. There will be a short training at the beginning of each shift.
