As of early 2025\, half of the states in the country have passed cruel laws banning gender-affirming care\, which means that thousands of transgender youth and their families are being forced to travel extreme distances and take on significant expenses just to get the medical care that they need. \n\n\n\nTYEP networks with community partners and providers to provide information about anti-trans healthcare restrictions. They help families understand their options for out-of-state care and provide referrals to medical providers. Formerly the All Clubs Picnic\, this annual event is a great opportunity to learn more about Santa Clara County’s Democratic clubs at the various booths staffed by club officers and volunteers. Numerous local elected officials and candidates attend and speak at the event. The clubs pay a sponsorship fee that covers the expenses of food\, drink\, etc. so there is no cost to attend.
