SUMMARY:Canvassing bus to Central Valley
DESCRIPTION:Join lots of fired-up volunteers on a bus to the Central Valley to help flip the U.S. House! We’ll be knocking on doors for Randy Villegas in Congressional District 22 (CA-22)\, one of the few true toss-up House races in the country. This race could be won or lost by a few hundred votes\, so every knock counts. Randy is an energizing candidate who’s running to fight for working families and protect our democracy. And he refuses to accept corporate-PAC money. Be part of the team that sends Randy to DC in January! \n\n\n\nAll meals will be provided (and early morning coffee too) and you’ll get training on the bus. Here’s the schedule: \n\n\n\n\n6:30am: Depart from the Democratic Volunteer Center in Mountain View. Then the bus will stop in the South Bay to pick up more folks.\n\n\n\nRoughly 11am-5pm: Knock on doors\, with a break for lunch.\n\n\n\n9pm at latest: Return to the DVC.\n\n\n\n\nThis bus is organized by a group of Peninsula and South Bay organizations\, including Swing Left Peninsula and South Bay Swing Left.

The problem is that Field Team 6 has contact information for hundreds of thousands of unregistered likely Democrats – FAR more than they can afford to text. Yet texting is an incredibly effective outreach tool. And there is always huge volunteer demand for texting. \n\n\n\nThe solution is a Text Arcade. It’s a super-fast text bank that costs $25 a ticket. 100% of your ticket price goes to funding your 1\,400 texts. Field Team 6 pays for about half of those texts in order to keep the ticket price reasonable. This fight for our democracy is no game\, but thanks for playing!
