SUMMARY:Postcards at the DVC
DESCRIPTION:Writing letters and postcards provides a personal touch to voter outreach\, and it’s a fun group activity. We write to encourage people to enroll in vote-by-mail programs. We ask people to check their registration status in states where there have been purges of people from the rolls. Importantly\, we also write to get out the vote for vulnerable Democrats. \n\n\n\nThe Democratic Volunteer Center gives you three ways to participate in writing postcards and letters! \n\n\n\n\nCome into the DVC headquarters any Saturday from 12 noon to 2:30pm Pacific time and write postcards in the office. Everything is provided except stamps\, including help getting started.\n\n\n\nCome into the DVC headquarters at the same time and pick up a packet of postcards to take home.\n\n\n\nJoin Sue and Melissa’s virtual parties with other postcard and letter writers\, every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon. SUMMARY:Canvassing bus to Central Valley
DESCRIPTION:Join lots of fired-up volunteers on a bus to the Central Valley to help flip the U.S. House! We’ll be knocking on doors for Randy Villegas in Congressional District 22 (CA-22)\, one of the few true toss-up House races in the country. This race could be won or lost by a few hundred votes\, so every knock counts. Randy is an energizing candidate who’s running to fight for working families and protect our democracy. And he refuses to accept corporate-PAC money. Be part of the team that sends Randy to DC in January! \n\n\n\nAll meals will be provided (and early morning coffee too) and you’ll get training on the bus. Here’s the schedule: \n\n\n\n\n6:30am: Depart from the Democratic Volunteer Center in Mountain View. Then the bus will stop in the South Bay to pick up more folks.\n\n\n\nRoughly 11am-5pm: Knock on doors\, with a break for lunch.\n\n\n\n9pm at latest: Return to the DVC.\n\n\n\n\nThis bus is organized by a group of Peninsula and South Bay organizations\, including Swing Left Peninsula and South Bay Swing Left.
