Fixin’ SMC Measure A forum
February 18 @ 7:00pm – 8:00pm
Join Fixin’ San Mateo County for an educational forum on the pros and cons of San Mateo County Measure A, which appears on the March 4 special election ballot. This measure would grant the Board of Supervisors authority to remove an elected Sheriff from office for cause by a four-fifths vote after written notice and an opportunity to be heard. It would expire December 2028.
The proposed charter amendment is in response to a report by retired Judge LaDoris Cordell that sustained 12 of 15 human resources complaints against the Sheriff and her Chief of Staff. For more information, see the League of Women Voters’ in depth analysis.
